Welcome to the ultimate series on how to get Google AdSense approval fast with a new blog. This is a full lesson and complete guide to getting AdSense approval.

If you are looking for AdSense account, this lesson is for you. The lesson is very long (3k plus words) and you have to bookmark this page so that you can read it anytime.

Let’s start…

For the absolute beginner; Google AdSense is a program run by Google that allows publishers in the Google Network of content sites to serve automatic text, image, video, or interactive media advertisements, that are targeted to site content and audience.

Google AdSense is one of the best methods to monetize blog.

How Google AdSense Works

The way AdSense works is this; the webmaster (you the owner of the blog) inserts the AdSense JavaScript code into a webpage (a page on your blog). Each time this page is visited, the JavaScript code uses in-lined JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) to display content fetched from Google’s servers.

In order to have the AdSense code to insert in your blog, you must apply for Google AdSense and be approved.

Maybe you have applied for AdSense account several times but have been denied approval by the AdSense team. Don’t worry; this e-book shall show you the quickest way to get Google AdSense approval fast.

Many bloggers have used this lesson and are counting their successes.

Getting AdSense approval is still very difficult for many people, but it is not supposed to be so.

In fact, let me tell you something surprising – the Google AdSense team is still looking to approve AdSense applications from publishers who would provide quality content.

The more publishers join the program, the more money Google makes because they will have more platforms (blogs/websites) on which they will advertise for their clients.

How to Get the Best of this lesson

This e-book is a goldmine and it all depends on how you use it. It’s like a workbook that will lead you to your success land. It is highly recommended that you go through all the steps provided in this book without skipping any point.

Please note that this process will not work if your AdSense account has already been disabled, perhaps unless you start afresh with a new domain name as well as a new “whois data.

Before I start…

Let me clear your mind about Google AdSense Program.

AdSense can make you rich! But many bloggers do not have AdSense account due to lack of accurate information and as such, they don’t know how to get an AdSense account.

Have you applied for AdSense account before?

“If you own a blog that was rejected by AdSense, I want you to sit back and re-evaluate your blog”.

Ask yourself some questions…

(1) First; does my blog or website provide any value?

Of course, you will be able to answer this question when you look at the number of page views as well as user engagement in your blog or website.

The value of your blog is not known to you alone, Google knows it too. Google has designed intelligent robots to do the spying for them.

Another important question you need to ask yourself is, Do I have original content on my blog or website?

(2) What are original contents – by Google’s Definition?

Many bloggers do not understand what Google means by “original contents”.

Original contents – according to Google’s definition, means – those contents (articles, pictures, videos, podcast, ideas, etc) that you create yourself and have the right to be named the author of, and own copyright of the said contents.

That is why Google brought up and considered authorship and reputation as a key ranking factor.

This is very important because, most bloggers re-write articles to make them pass the plagiarism test while the idea still remains the same with the already-existing articles. In this case, you are actually saying the same thing in a different way – nothing new.

Sometimes, the Google AdSense team will ask, what makes a user visit your blog or website and not visit others. That is when the issue of uniqueness and originality comes into play.

Now let’s get started with our “Get AdSense Approval Fast” checklist

Having read the overview of AdSense program, let’s proceed to the core steps that should be meticulously followed in order to achieve our ultimate goal which of course is to “Get Fast AdSense Approval”.

(1) Choose a Marketable Niche

What is a niche? – Consider a niche as an area or a subject which your blog or website is all about. We have niches like, Education, Technology, Arts and Culture, Celebrity, Health, Banking, Airline and Flights, etc. For example, if you say your niche is Health, this means that all articles on your website or blog must relate to health in at least one way.

You have to choose a niche that complies with Google content guidelines. Some niches are not profitable in AdSense.

There are some niches that advertisers are willing to pay heavily to advertise on, but unfortunately, very few people or none write on such niche. A typical example of such niche is “distance learning”. The keyword is so competitive that an advertiser would be willing to pay as high as $5 per click from Nigeria and $15 per click from the United States (US) or United Kingdom (UK). You can see the top 10 profitable niches for blogging in Nigeria

Let me tell you something – there’s no blog in Nigeria that is dedicated to writing articles on this topic. Why? Instead, almost everyone is competing with Linda Ikeji in the Entertainment niche which is already over-crowded.

You can even decide to venture into a non-conventional topical niche. There are a thousand and one untapped blogging niches you can choose to write on which would be profitable.

See the: List of untapped blogging niches in Nigeria

Another point worthy of mention is that the Google AdSense team has strictly prohibited certain subjects, these subjects include; porn (or any sexually explicit content), tobacco/drugs, gambling, religion, and others not mentioned here. You must not, for any reason, write on, support, or promote any of the aforementioned subjects.

Also, do not use Pidgin English or any other vernacular to write. The Google AdSense Team understands the English Language and only that, and will not approve your blog if it is not written in English Language.

(2) Buy a new domain

The next thing is to get a new domain name. When buying a new domain, please choose niches that have advertisers or physical products you can sell or promote, this is pertinent in case AdSense turns out not to be the only way to monetize your site and/or content.

Again, there are some niches that Google may not allow in their AdSense program maybe because the niche is over-crowded or because there are few or no advertisers in that niche. A good example of such niche is Celebrity and How-to technological niches.

To get a new domain name, I recommend Namecheap.com, they have cheaper domain name and hosting services  Bluehost! Register your domain starting at $3.98/year

Make sure you test for AdSense ban action on the domain before you buy it. You can check if a site has been banned by AdSense here.

(3) Host Your Blog on Blogger or WordPress

You will need to host your domain. You can host for free with BlogSpot or buy a hosting plan from any of the hosting companies around.

I read in Google AdSense product forum that Google may not accept BlogSpot blogs again in their AdSense program even though BlogSpot is still their main partner.

Even if Google didn’t say so, you would still need to make your blog look a bit professional with a custom domain – I mean .com, .net or .org or .com.ng and/or .net.ng domains.

These days; it’s not costly to get a domain with any of these extensions.

Important! Get a Professional hosting from Bluehost

Bluehost give you $1*/mo WordPress Hosting from Bluehost! Unlimited Storage, Domains, Emails and Bandwidth. Free Domain, Now 200% Faster with SSD’s, Start Today!

Now you are done with this step, go ahead and…

(4) Write – “about me” page

Google AdSense Team respects an “About me” page. Just create a page and write what the blog is all about, about the author and bla bla bla… An “About me” page should be at least 300 words. It should also be appealing, concise and informing.

See: How to Write About Me Page on your Blog

(5) Create a contact page

Google said that you should provide an easy way for your blog users to contact you if they ever wish to.

This is achieved by creating a contact page and listing it in the menu section of your website or blog. It’s easy to create a contact page. There are various contact widget for blogger and plug-in for WordPress.

You have to display a contact page vividly if you want to get AdSense approval on your new blog.

For WordPress, I recommend using a plugin called “contact form 7”.

See: How to Create a Contact Page in WordPress and Blogger

(6) Write – “Privacy Policy Page” and tag it “rel_noindex”:

You can visit any blog with a privacy policy page, copy and edit it by replacing all instances of the person’s blog name with yours.

Alternatively, you can visit the website: freeprivacypolicy.com to get a free copy of privacy policy, copy and paste it on your own privacy policy page.

See: How to Add a Privacy Policy on Your Blog

If you are blogging with BlogSpot, there is no issue at all with indexing, but if you are blogging with WordPress, please ensure that you explicitly instruct Search Engine Robots not to index the Privacy Policy page, you do this by tagging it “rel_noindex”. See how to add the tag here.

The reason you have to specify the “rel_noindex” tag is that you may not be the only person using the very copy of privacy policy in your site, so if a search engine like Google indexes it, Google bots may see it as a duplicate content which may lead to your disapproval.

(7) Publish (Only) Original Contents:

Write and post about 40-50 original posts of at least 600 words (not copied articles, image or re-written articles). Try as much as you can to create or craft original contents. Make it compelling and detailed if possible.

Do not use any image if you don’t own it, and also do not re-write articles, instead, write on new subjects and ideas based on your experience.

You can use keyword tools like Google keyword planner to select keywords that are still popular but not very competitive.

See: How to Write Original articles on your blog

(8) Do not index “label”, “tag” or “categories” “search page” “archive page”, “paginated pages/posts”

This is a very serious problem for those who use WordPress to blog. If you are using BlogSpot, you are save because at default, Blogger disallows search engine from crawling the “label” tag. This is not the case with WordPress because in WordPress you control everything. You have to explicitly instruct search engines not to index the categories and tags.

You should also add “rel_nofollow” instruction to search pages, error 404 pages, archive pages, paginated pages/posts etc. Failure to do this could lead to duplicate contents detection even if your contents are all original. To easily accomplish this on WordPress, I strongly recommend that you install and use All-in-One SEO plugin to do the settings. See how you can achieve that here

(9) Customize your blog properly:

Recently, I’ve realize that blog design is now a factor considered by AdSense team for either approving or rejecting applications.

I advise that you get a nice blog theme and customize it properly, first to suite the niche of your blog, and second; to appeal to you and other users of your blog. Also, do not fail to ensure that the theme or template you choose must be, or customized to be, responsive (adapt to all browser and device environments).

(10) Create a “Menu”, display “category/label” as well as “Archives”, recent posts, and popular posts on the sidebar of your blog.

You must customize your blog to ensure that users can navigate all pages of your blog with little or no effort. The most popular way to this is by putting a menu at the top of every page.

A menu is a container for important links in your blog, the links include; Home page, about me page, contact page, and others as may be peculiar to your blog. It is recommended that you insert popular posts, recent posts, categories/labels, and archives (with post numbers) on the sidebar.

(11) Insert a search form on the sidebar:

A search form is a very cardinal module. Putting a search form in a website or blog is a very simple thing to do. For those that blog with BlogSpot, simply visit the widget section and insert it via the template area. For others who blog with WordPress; navigate to Appearance > Widgets.

There you can drag a sidebar widget to the position in the sidebar where you want the sidebar form to be inserted. For WordPress bloggers, be informed that the presentation of the widget page may vary depending on the WordPress theme and/or specific sidebar management plugin you use on your blog.

(12) Do not auto-post or auto-share on Face-book, Google+, and/or Twitter

This is very important. Many new bloggers integrate auto-post functionality on their blog. This means that; once they publish a post, the post excerpt will be automatically published on social media pages such as Facebook, Google+, and/or Twitter. It is recommended that you disable this feature until your website/blog has been approved by AdSense.

The reason you are discouraged from enabling this feature is that; when the excerpt part of a post is published on social media pages, since the article already exists on the host website/blog, it may be quickly flagged by search engine robots as duplicate content during plagiarism test.

This is quite okay for existing blogs with AdSense approval, but will harm your chances of getting AdSense approval if you are starting a new blog.

Instead, write an enticing intro to the article on social media pages but insert a shortened URL to the host post on your blog.

(13) Disallow “Copying” from Your New Blog

If you are quite a newbie in blogging, I will advise that you disallow copying of your articles. Otherwise, once people copy your original article and publish on their blog, they render your blog useless because it will not pass the plagiarism test anymore since its contents do appear on other websites/blogs.

If you blog with WordPress, you can disallow copying from your blog using a plugin. You can find such a plugin if you perform a search for it using Google.

See: How to Disable Copying Functionalities on Your WordPress Blog

(14) Build your sitemap and submit to Google, then display your sitemap on the menu section of your blog.

Sitemaps enable Google bots to understand the skeleton and building blocks of your blog.

It enables the search engine bot to know how many pages your website or blog contains, as well as how many articles are published.

Many people who apply for AdSense usually get rejected in the second stage of the eligibility test (after code implementation test). One of the profound reasons behind this is that the second stage of AdSense eligibility test is handled by robots, this is usually after the first review by a human.

If your blog must pass the eligibility test, then your blog must be understood by Google robots.

So, creating a sitemap makes it easier for robots to quickly navigate your blog in order to ascertain whether or not it is eligible for the AdSense program.

See: How to Create and Submit Sitemaps on Blogger and WordPress Blog

(15) Verify your blog in Google webmaster’s tool. Blog verification is a paramount step to getting fast AdSense approval.

See: How to Verify BlogSpot Blog.

If you are using blogger, follow the steps below;

  1. Visit Google Webmaster’s Tool
  2. Click the “Add a site” button on the Webmaster’s Tool Home page
  3. Enter your blog’s URL (for example, googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com) and click the “Continue” button to proceed to the next stage.
  4. On the next page that comes up, select “Meta Tag” verification method, then copy the Meta tag provided.
  5. Go to your blog and sign-in
  6. From Blogger’s dashboard click the “Layout” link for the blog you’re verifying.
  7. Click the “Edit HTML” link under the “Layout” tab which will allow you to edit the HTML codes for your blog’s template.
  8. Paste the Meta Tag (copied in step 3) immediately after the <head> tag within the template HTML and click the “SAVE TEMPLATE” button.

See How to verify your blog in Google Webmaster tool

How to verify your WordPress blog

There are many ways to verify your WordPress blog in Google webmaster’s tool. One of the ways is the use of a plugin.

For the simplest way, download this plugin; https://wordpress.org/plugins/verify-google-webmaster-tools/

  1. In your WordPress dashboard – Admin, navigate to; Plugins > Add new > Search for ‘Verify Google Webmaster Tools‘.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugin’ menu in WordPress
  3. Copy verification Meta-Tag from Google Webmaster’s Tools and paste it in the Plugin’s settings page (Admin > Settings > Verify Google Webmaster Tools).
  4. Click ‘Save’ and it’s done!

(16) Apply for AdSense: Create a Gmail account different from the one you used to verify the blog. Then go ahead and apply for AdSense by visiting http://www.google.com/adsense

See: How to Apply for Adsense Account

(17) Pray to your God

After a whole lot of work and strategies, prayer is not just a key, but the only key.

See the: Prayer points for new bloggers

If accepted – holla! Congratulations you have made it.

If not…

Don’t worry, that’s not the end of life. Maybe Google just want to test your level of seriousness in blogging business.

Yes, many (over 60 percent of bloggers) would quit blogging because they think that being disapproved by Adsense is the end of it.

Go back to work and re-apply after sometime.

Important! You should wait for at least a month before you re-apply for AdSense (after praying to God/Allah).

There was an instance when one of the bloggers I mentored applied for AdSense after following all the recommendations I provided, but his application got rejected by the AdSense team.

I told him to keep working and after 3 weeks, Google themselves approved the earlier rejected application without re-application.

What I mean is that the guy did not re-apply but the application was later approved. Yes, you can do blogging to the point that Google would invite you to join the AdSense Program. This has been proven to be true.

Don’t feel down-casted, don’t take it personally, if rejected, Google only rejected your application, not you as a person.

You are unique. Maybe the blog is not actually providing the needed value yet. So, this rejection is signalling you to put more effort in working.

After all, so many people have AdSense accounts but cannot make up to $2 a day. So, it’s not really by having the AdSense account. It’s about providing value to your readers. AdSense will surely come.

I wish you success.

Before you go…

But i need help; 1: i submited myblog url to Webmaster when i was using .blogspot domain. now that i bought new domain and add it as custom in my blogger Datchboard.i went back to Webmaster Console the next two days, i found out that my indexed pages in Webmaster has droped down from 100 to 8. and it can’t index my new posts any more. 2: I made a mistake in my robots.txt file when i was using .blogspot domain; i removed the line of code that is hiding My Labels(Disallow: /), it is when i bought this new domain i came across your posts that Labels are not ment to Allow be removing that line of code. So i want to know, now that i have fresh domain and i am not displaying my Label for search result.
