In this guide, I will show you how you can make money online in Nigeria without PayPal. PayPal is the world’s most popular payment platform that many merchants and online marketers use to accept payment globally from their site and blog.
Before now, PayPal was the only medium where bloggers can make money from top affiliate programs. Now, things have changed. You can still make money online even if you don’t have a PayPal account. That’s what I’m going to show you in this guide.
For now, PayPal accepts only one way transactions in Nigeria. In Nigerian PayPal, you can only use the account to make payments or buy things online. But you cannot use the account to accept payments here in Nigeria.
Fortunately, there are other options to make money online in Nigeria without PayPal.
There are other online payment platforms that you can still use to accept online payment from your blog or website.

(1) Payoneer: This is a US payment system that allows online businesses that are not residing in the US to accept payments from most US merchants.
With Payoneer account, you accept payment as if you are in the US. Luckily, many affiliate marketing programs and freelancing sites in the US pays via payoneer.
That means that you can still make money online without PayPal and cash the money here in Nigeria local bank account.
(2) Accept online payments on your blog: There are many ways to make money online from your blog. Information products marketing is one of them.
You can decide to sell ebooks, apps, videos, audios etc to your readers. Now, if this is the case, you can accept online payments on your blog using local payment platforms in Nigeria.
There are many of them in the likes of quickteller, voguepay, webpay, globalpay, simplepay, paga etc. The most interesting part is that it’s now easy to integrate these online payment platforms with your WordPress blog.
Some of them will require that you have a registered business name and a corporate bank account. After integration, you can now start to accept online payments directly on your blog.
So there is no need to wait for PayPal before you can make money online in Nigeria. Others are making it even without PayPal.
(3) Use Google AdSense: This is Google’s owned pay per click network. You don’t need a PayPal account to receive your Google AdSense earnings.
Google AdSense pays their publishers through direct deposited or via check. So, with Google AdSense, you can make money online without PayPal in Nigeria.
It’s easy to join the Google AdSense publisher platform. In have written a full lesson on how to get approval for your new blog here. After approval, simply insert the Google AdSense codes on your blog to start generating clicks and earnings.
Once your earnings has reached the payment threshold of $100, you will be paid directly to the bank account you supplied during signup.
(4) Ask your buyers to do direct bank deposit or pay on delivery: Flexibility is needed in any online business. Without PayPal account, ask your customers to pay directly into your bank account. That’s what I’m still doing.
Even the big online stores and businesses in Nigeria such as whogohost.com, konga or Jumia all have this direct bank deposit options or pay-on-delivery.
So, stop waiting for PayPal account and start making your money online.
(5) Join Programs that pays via direct bank deposit (Wire Transfer) or Checks: Yes, there are many affiliate programs that pays via direct bank deposit called wired transfer.
A typical example is hostgator. They pay via direct bank transfer into your local bank account here in Nigeria. There are other affiliate marketing programs that pays via check.
One of those is amazon associates. You can join these programs and make reasonable amount of money online without PayPal here in Nigeria.
